Holiday gifts for an equestrian
I’ve compiled some of my favorite gifts to give fellow equestrians during the holiday season!
Felix Doolittle makes some of my very favorite stationery, and they’ve got some great options for gifts. Bookplates and bookmarks are perfect for the equestrian who’s always lending you something from her extensive collection, and the oval paperweight is a chic desk decoration.
Have a friend who just can’t get enough of the latest equestrian news? Give the gift of The Chronicle of the Horse! You can currently get two subscriptions for the price of one, which means you can give two gifts (or keep one for yourself)! Each includes 36 issues of the magazine, 6 issues of Untacked, and full digital access.
For the style-conscious equestrian in your life, you can’t go wrong with a fashionable bracelet. Clever With Leather and Tory Leather Company make several classic styles (some with a twist!), and Rebecca Ray’s cuff and slide bracelets are available in a number of fun colors.
If there’s someone on your list who has everything, consider sponsoring a horse at a credible rescue, rehoming, or therapy organization on their behalf! Non-profit groups always need financial help. If your giftee is a Thoroughbred fan, you can check the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance’s list of accredited organizations for a local group. Looking for something more general? Best Friends Animal Sanctuary has three dozen horses you can choose to sponsor. If you’re donating on behalf of a person who’d rather support rider-centric non-profits, consider The Dressage Foundation, The USEA Foundation, or USDF.
