Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!

It’s a beautiful Thanksgiving here in Oklahoma! I have an excuse to get out my beloved-but-little-used deviled egg plate, while Johnny is finally justified in baking four pies to eat on the same day. (Please, someone help him eat the pies before he succumbs to a sugar coma.) We’re hosting our friend Holly, and I expect my barn owner-turned-neighbor will be over to say hello.

I have much to be thankful for this year.

I have my totally excellent horses who are full of bizarre quirks and bad habits, but are friendly, patient, and fun to ride.

I have a stellar group of horse friends through the barn, Harvard Fox Hounds, and Green Country dressage. I’ve also made blogging friends, several of whom I had the pleasure of meeting this year!

I’m grateful to have a supportive spouse who doesn’t question why I need so many saddle pads, and is enthusiastic about things like moving to a small farm.

I have a job that’s challenging, fun, and sends me to places like Wellington and Devon At Devon.
