10: Number of pieces of devil’s food cake Johnny ate this weekend. I made the cake (from this recipe) on Friday night, and while it was delicious, I cannot fathom how he ate so much of it. (Or how he stays so slender. Sigh.)
9: Number ridiculous questions I asked about the rules of baseball at Saturday’s Drillers game, because usually, my primary purpose for going to baseball games it to drink beer and collect souvenir cups.
8: Bags of T.H.E. Equine Edge Calming Cookie samples we received at work Friday afternoon…anyone want to try a bag?
7: Number of hot dogs I felt like eating at the baseball game.
6: Approximate number of beautiful, harmonious trot steps Moe and Johnny achieved on Sunday before Johnny was back to bouncing uncomfortably while Moe gave me some serious side eye.
5: Number of people I saw not wearing shoes in my Wal-Mart Sunday evening. Seriously? I thought wearing shoes was like, a thing.
4: Number of fireworks shows I saw while driving home Saturday night. Sometimes, it’s nice to live in a place that’s flat and has no trees!
3: Number of bottles of sunscreen I put in my tote bag/car, only to forget to leave just one of them at the barn.
2: Number of hot dogs I actually ate the baseball game. Well, one was technically a bratwurst. And I ate a cheeseburger. And split some fries. Oops.
1: Number of beers I limited myself to at the game. That counts for something, right?!
How was your weekend?
